Our Beliefs


We believe that both the Old and New Testament constitute the divinely inspired Word of God to us, inerrant in the original texts. The Bible is the authority for our lives personally and for the church.

II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:20-21

 

 We believe in one God, existing eternally in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; distinguishable but indivisible.

Genesis 1:1-3, 26; John 1:1-2, 14

 

We believe that the carnal nature of man is totally depraved, and entirely unable to remedy his lost condition.

Romans 3:23-24; Romans 6:23; Isaiah 53:6

 

We believe that salvation is entirely apart from good works, baptism, church membership or man’s effort, and is of pure grace.

We believe that salvation makes a difference in how a person lives.

We believe that the Holy Spirit came forth from the Father and the Son to convict the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment; and to regenerate, sanctify, comfort, and bring assurance of salvation to those who believe in Jesus Christ; and to empower them to use spiritual gifts for the carrying out the work of the ministry.

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with accompanying signs and wonders as the spirit of God directs with purpose of glorifying God in the earth.

We believe in the baptism by water of believers, symbolizing the believer’s union in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

We believe in observance of the Lord’s Supper commemorating the sacrifice of our Savior for all mankind.

We believe in Divine Healing.

We believe that in order to grow in spiritual maturity one must obey the Word of God and have regular communion with the Holy Spirit.

We believe the life of the believer to be separated from worldliness by consistent conduct before God and man is to be in the world as life giving light.

We believe in the sanctity of marriage as established by the Holy Scriptures and that God created marriage, and that the only legitimate marriage is the joining of one man and one woman.

We believe in the personal, visible, bodily and imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ, and that his second coming is essential to the fulfillment of God’s plan for this age.

We believe in eternal life for believers and eternal death for unbelievers.

We believe in honoring God through the tithe and the offering, and that health, wealth, wisdom, and favor come as a result of it.
